September Exhibit

During the summer of 2010 I created 17 new paintings - all acrylic on canvas, 40"hx30"w - in anticipation of the exhibit in September at Tru Cafe' in Kearney. These gallery walls used to be part of elements - of which I was part owner - and the gallery was mine. So, returning to these familiar walls was kind of a big deal. I wanted to show all new works. Thus - 17 new paintings!

The exhibit remains up through the month of September. We had a great reception last week. I am blessed to have such great support from friends and family. I truly appreciated everyone who came. And, one of the paintings sold. (#12. Thank you, my dear Patricia.)

#17 is not for sale. My son, Hogan, asked that I not sell that one. I guess it is his now.
Of course, that is the one everyone was most drawn to. That is the one here on the far right, with the gold cross down in the corner. Everyone has their own interpretation of this piece,
which is as it should be.

This was an important show for me. I was most humbled when my favorite university professors and colleagues showed up - Zaruba, Peterson, Karraker, Lowry, and Hartman!
Thank you so much. I felt affirmed.
