February 1

It is February!  This means we have safely made it through January (yay!!!)  Today, or tomorrow, is Imbolc, an ancient holiday marking the halfway point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox.  More conservative folks would call it Ground Hog Day. We are turning the corner, so to speak, towards spring!
This is a little hard to believe tonight, when the weather people are predicting -40 to -45 degrees windchill!
And, the amazing thing is, we are not having the "bad" weather.  There is a huge blizzard, a historical storm, east and south of us, covering 2,000 miles, and dumping even more snow on parts of the U.S. that are 1) not accustomed to snow, or 2) have seen waaaaayyy too much this season already!

Clint and I and the dogs are enjoying a warm fire in the wood-burning insert in our fireplace, and watching mindless television.  Life is really pretty good.
